PRODUCTION: Evidence of Filming day 4

Today we met up at Stratford at 9 in the morning so that we can go to Hollow ponds to film. When we got there we filmed one base track of Lauren just singing the song in the woods. Then we filmed with the smoke bombs. The smoke bombs came out better than we expected them too so we are all really happy with the outcome. Of the base tracks we shot with the smoke bombs will be done in slow motion in the editing process.

PRODUCTION: Evidence: Filming day 3

Today we met up at 11 in the morning to film in our first location of the day. Our first location was Indian Lounge in Kings Cross. It is a restaurant but the downstairs is made to look like a forest/jungle. It fits the theme of our video so we decided to film there. Then our second location was Kyoto Gardens. We filmed 4 different base tracks from different angles and different shot types. It was a very nice place to film but we are going back there on Sunday to film next to the pond because today we arrived there too late so we are going there on Sunday in the morning to make sure that we have enough time to film.

PLANNING: Reflection On Progress

I think my blogging has definitely improved since my last reflection on progress. Am starting to use more varieties of technology making my blog post more visual interesting.
To improve I should carry on doing this and find even more technologies to present with and do some more extra posts.
I give my blog 16/20.

PRODUCTION: Evidence: Filming day 1

Today we  filmed in college in the photography room which has a white background which was very good for us to use. We filmed about 18 different base tracks today from different positions and angles in the room. We also used props such as the black hat, balloons and a bubble machine.

PLANNING: Video's that influenced planning decisions

This video features shot of the sunset at primrose hill and the people featured in it are just shown having fun around London but it really works!
This video uses smoke bombs very well. We want our smoke bombs to look like this in out video!

PLANNING: Music Video's That Influenced Planning Decisions

PRODUCTION: Skills Development

Compared to last years planning for my film intro I definitely believe that planning for my music video was much harder since me and the group had so many ideas some similar some different that it was hard to pick even when it came to the song choice. Looking back at last year I told myself as I start this coursework I would look back and do things differently since I knew what things I would have to do differently and planning was one. For example no last minute changes, no leaving it till last minute and not thinking really clearly about mis-en-scene including costume and props. Last year I didn't really know how to gather my thoughts onto the screen mostly because I was the only girl in the group so t was a little harder to gt my thoughts considered but this time communication has been key. My group listen to each other and we all try to take each other into consideration.

For the music video especially when it came to planning the costumes, settings and location it was really hard. We made decisions and compared to last year thee decisions were much more thought out and not just something you'd wear everyday. Costume really counts especially for pop videos as its conventional but it livens the music video as a whole. Because we knew from the start we were doing an outdoor pop song the settings and locations were crucial. we decided each of our locations would have its own element including balloons and smoke bombs. There are so many locations in London is hard to pick the specific ones so we wrote our ideas and from that we narrowed it down some locations we knew we had to ask permission and we may not have been able to shoot there so we were very organised in finding a replacement. Compared to last year where we weren't as organised and we found ourselves in a tricky situations which lead us to having fewer film footage.
